Automation Equipment for
Ferro Alloy Casting

Characteristics

  • [Shrinking Factory Sites] Unification of casting, cooling and crushing plants
  • [Increased Productivity, No Developing Environmental Pollution] Improvement of casting productivity free of environmental pollution by casting 6,000 tons of molten metal into about 30,000 cubes without additional crushing process
  • [Reducing Production Costs, Increasing Sales] Owing to no need for additional equipment and production facilities, reduction of production cost and incase of sales

Ferro Alloy Casting Appl`ication Process

In respect of factory construction

  • Unification of casting, cooling and crushing factory [reduction of factory site]
  • Replacement of 2 large-scale factory sites with single small-sized factory site [1/20 of existing area] available
  • Significant reduction of construction cost available when constructing a new factory

In respect of production

  • It is possible to produce the cube-shaped gravel sizes (10mm to 50mm) which can use from 4 ton to 40 ton of molten metal without any breaking process.
  • It is possible to dramatically reduce the differentials (under-specification products) and harmful dust that must occur in the production process of the existing manual crushing method.
  • Reduced production time and workforce and increased work efficiency
  • No additional facilities and equipments such as casting decks and excavator required [Reduced additional cost and maximized productivity improvement]

In respect of the environment

  • Since there is no crushing process, there is no environmental pollution such as noise and harmful dust.
  • Reduced risk of safety accidents due to automation of production.

Domestic and Foreign Markets

  • For ferrosilicon, global production is expected to be 4.6 million tons and the production scale may be subject to change depending on the Asia-Pacific steel production.
  • China accounts for 66% of the global ferrosilicon supply followed by Russia, Brazil, and Ukraine. Korea imports 25% of Chinese ferrosilicon and 40% is imported from Japan.
  • The production capacity of this unit is about 10,000 tons per year and about 460 units are required in the market currently equivalent to 4.6 million tons of ferrosilicon.
  • 20% increase in sales is naturally expected due to products under standards and no harmful dust.

Ferrosilicon production weight by country

  • China
  • Russia
  • Brazil
  • Ukraine
  • India
  • Norway
  • Others
